Be part of the greatest spotter's event in Europe!

This airport will once again open its doors (9th edition) to the aviation enthusiasts during year 2012.

Because of the great success of the previous editions and of the high request, we have decided to introduce some news for the 2012 season:
- An additional week end during the month of May
- The possibility for everybody to participate on both Saturday and Sunday tour during the same week end.
So, in 2012 the event will be scheduled on the next six days:
- Saturday May 12th, 2012

- Sunday May 13th, 2012
- Saturday September 08th, 2012
- Sunday September 09th, 2012
- Saturday September 22nd, 2012
- Sunday September 23rd, 2012
The format of the day will be the same as last year:
- Meeting not later than 09.15 h, the day will finish circa 16.30 - 17.00 hrs.
- The whole day will be spent first on the southern side of the airport in front of the taxiway going to the runway (spotting place will depend on the runway in use for departures) and then in the now-famous grass area close to the Terminal 1 where all departing aircrafts from Terminal 1 have to pass.
- Stops in Cargo area if possible and needed.
- Stops on T1 ramp are not permitted: in case a special plane will justify a short stop, the bus will stop in the best position and the doors will be opened to allow pictures while will be not possible to step out from the bus. Where we will be allowed to stay out of the bus, we need anyway to play as a group and respect the limits that will be indicated.
- Unless a special plane justify it, there will be no stop at T2 ramp, being nowdays this apron used only by Easyjet.
We will have the two buses available all day, if someone have to depart earlier, it will be possible to go back to the Terminal at any hour (please let us know your exigencies at the beginning of the tour).
A small fee will be collected during the day to cover bus expense.
A yellow high visibility jacket is mandatory for the ramp tour. You can bring your own one from home but it must be yellow (orange or red are not allowed, because on the ramp this colour is used to identify SEA employees). For whom may need it, we will have some yellow jackets (with the word "Spotter" in the back) available (10 Euro each).
Lunch not included, we need to pass security check before going into the ramp (same rules as boarding planes) but water bottles and a "reasonable" amount of food will be allowed (+additional water - if possible - provided on the bus).
Toilette (but we are not responsible for their "status") and automatic machines for beverages and coffee will be available very close to some spotting point (but I suggest you a tour to the toilette before to beginning of the event!).
Car Parking: For whom is arriving in Malpensa by car, a free of charge pass for the employees car park will be provided starting from 09.0 AM (you will be allowed to stay there 'till you would like to stay). The area is located very close to Terminal 1, between the Terminal and the control tower. Terminal 1 can be reached by walk in less than 5'.
Hotel in Malpensa area: in case you need to book an hotel room in MXP for your visit, we reached an agreement with the Holiday Inn Express located close to the Terminal area.
If you would like to participate to one or two of these glorious days, just remind that to secure your "booking" I only need a clear copy of your passport, requested by the Police to grant ramp access for the day (I already have the documents of who already partecipate to previous years events, they are not requested to send it again unless the document has been changed).
I will accept max 85 guests per day: first in, first served; with at least 10/12 places reserved to friends that will come here for the first time.
Everybody will be allowed to participate to both Saturday and Sunday tour during the same week-end.
Please remember that the program of these events could be modified or even cancelled any time because of security reasons. We are not responsible for this (anyway it never happened in more than 10 years experience in organising these events).
Please do not hesitate to contact me by return and I will provide further details.
