After only 4 months, here we are ready for another Clipper's
day at Malpensa, guest of our Partner SEA, ALITALIA, ENAV and Polizia di Stato.
Around 60 Clipperers are ready despite to the weather, this time is not raining but a
foggy day turn all colours to grey...After the custom check, our flight is boarded from
gate A20 at 10,20 am. All on board of the bus nr.50, destination: unknown !!!
The airplane that ALITALIA allowed us to visit is a B.747-200 CARGO, but only few of
the associates know it.
Few minutes of "flight" to reach Terminal 2 ramp and to park the bus just
between two ALITALIA CARGO's B.747: the "old" B.747-200C I-DEMC and the
"new" B.747-400F N409MC on ACMI leasing from Atlas Air.
At this point all the people realise that we will visit the big cargo plane, the bus'
doors opened but to close again after few seconds.....due to some delays the plane is
still to be loaded and refuelled. So, for security reasons, it is not possible to board on
the plane.
Big pity ! We just can watch the airplanes from the T2 ramp. |

the planes crossing 35L on their way to take off from 35R. |

ATC controllers doing their job. |
