Between all the airliners that "sleep" on Malpensa's ramp during the night, the KLM B.737-800 is the newest model. The plane arrive from Amsterdam at 21.45 h with the flight KL 1635 and stay all night long waiting for the first morning departure to Amsterdam, flight KL 1618 at 06.55, the first of the 4 KLM daily rotation between MXP and AMS (there are 2 more from LIN).

Due to the great relationship between KLM and Clipper, we had the opportunity to visit the plane.

60 "Clipperers" are ready to visit the plane that arrives on time at MXP and is parked at gate A13: from the windows is already possible to see that ther registration is PH-BXL (model -8K2, c/n 30359, c/l 659), is the newest among KLM's B.737-800s. This plane was delivered on 26/09/2000 and so is in service from less than 40 days.

Immediate boarding ! The plane is brand new and shines in the fine blue interiors. On the main deck place for 158 pax, 47 in Business class (3+2) and the rest in Economy class (3+3).
We have the opportunity to visit the flight deck, to sit down on captain' s and First officer's seats, to ask everythings about flight instruments.

Then, by the finger staircase, we go down on the ramp with the great opportunity to walk around the new plane.

A little bit of fog means a magic atmosphere. Beside "our" plane a Lufthansa A.321, while on the other side of the ramp, parked at Satellite A, a Swissair A.319 and B.747 Alitalia.

Before the end of the visit, all the group near the CFM left engine for the classic picture.
